5 dead in flash floods in Nilambur, MalappuramThe death toll from the flash flood at the tourist spot in T.K. Nagar, Amarambalam, Nilambur (Malappuram), has risen to five. Three more bodies were recovered this morning; these were identified as Raheem (a native of Karuvarakundu) and Rafeeq and Sajjad (natives of Kottakkunnu, Vandoor). Two bodies had already been recovered last night. Meanwhile, the search continues for Sajitha, the wife of Sanjaydas (Veluthedath) from T.K. Nagar, who was swept away by the currents.
